As well as general medical practice at its surgeries and the usual additional services such as maternity medical support, cervical screening and childhood immunisation, Aston also takes local, responsive primary healthcare to a higher level. Specialist services now offered to patients in its community include mobile diagnostic ultrasound, a consultant-led intermediate diabetes service, osteoporosis screening, DEXA scanning and enhanced minor surgery, all available quicker and easier than through secondary care provision.
