Appointments

Routine appointments

Patients can usually see a GP or health professional on the day of choice. However, there may be an occasion where this is not possible, but we will ensure patients are seen within 48 hours of request. If you are unable to keep your appointment please let us know.

Home visits

If possible, please make your request before 10.30 am. Please provide the receptionist with details of the problem as this helps the doctors to arrange calls in order of their urgency. Visits will be carried out at the discretion of the doctor. Visits may be done at the patient’s registered address or an alternative address within the defined practice area.

Telephone advice

There may be occasions when you may want advice on a health problem or medication. During the day the GP or practice nurse will be available to give advice. You may be asked to leave a contact number so that the practice nurse or GP can ring you back.

Emergency out of hours service

You will be able to access a doctor in an emergency outside surgery hours by ringing the surgery number. However if you need Health Information or Advice NHS Direct is available on 0845 46 47 or on line at www.nhsdirect.co.uk.

If you are unable to attend an appointment please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the appointment to another patient. Please arrive on time. If you arrive late you may be advised to book another appointment. Should this happen you will be notified on arrival; we would appreciate your patience and understanding.
