Our team

Aston Healthcare has now grown into an organisation employing over 150 permanent staff almost one third of which are full time medical professionals. With a higher number of clinicians per patient than most other primary care providers, Aston is able to deliver a consistent, sustainable patient service.

All of our practices have a broad mix of GPs, many with special interests, clinical and administrative staff and they closely monitor consultation length and time to appointment to ensure local and national access targets are achieved. Many of our surgeries are open longer hours than traditional practices, with appointments available throughout the day and evenings to accommodate patients’ changing work shift patterns.

A professionally run organisation, Aston works to strict protocols of clinical governance, quality assurance and performance measurement. It has a well-defined management structure, drawn largely from experienced medical professionals, and a dynamic team of clinical practitioners ideally suited to meet patient needs.

Aston has committed itself firmly to the evolving healthcare agenda in this country, is fully engaged in pioneering initiatives such as Choose and Book, Payment by Results and Practice Based Commissioning and is both a contractor and its own commissioning group.
